Non US Model
A flood of new models from Audi proves their intentions for world domination. Once known in the USA for their lineup of German sedans in small, medium and large sizes; the Audi range now includes compact hatchbacks, SUVs, two coupes and even an exotic sports car.
Audi enters the world of exotic cars with the R8. The R8 features an aluminum-chassis, a 420-bhp V8, and all-wheel drive. With distinctive styling, and solid performance credentials, the R8 should have plenty of admirers.
The A5, Audi's stylish new coupe, takes aim at BMWs successful 3-Series and the Mercedes-Benz CLK-Class. The 262-bhp V6-powered A5 coupe will tackle the BMW 328i and 335i models; the 354-bhp, V8-powered S5 version will go head-to-head with BMW's newV8 powered M3, and the Mercedes-Benz CLK63 AMG. One distinguishing feature for the A5 is its standard quattro AWD system.
In addition to the new A5, Audi has also introduced an all-new TT coupe and convertible for the 2008 model year. Although immediately recognizable as the TT, both models feature distinctive new styling and larger proportions.
Next up for Audi is a major update to the A4 sedan and wagon later in 2008. In the meantime, all A4 models wear the more aggressive S line trim. A limited edition RS4 convertible has a 420-bhp V8, and a price tag north of $80k.
