Overview Information
The 3-Series has long been the standard bearer in what may be the most competent segment in the industry. The 3-Series offers an impressive combination of styling, performance, and luxury features for a German vehicle. The fifth-generation 3-series has grown significantly in length and width yet retains the agility and balance that it is known for. The 3-Series wagon will be initially offered only as an all-wheel-drive 325xi model. The 325 signifies that the 215 hp 3.0L inline-six engine is under the hood. Buyers can choose either a six-speed manual or automatic transmission. Starting at around $35,000, the 3-Series wagon offers all the style and amenities of the sedan with an extra dose of utility in the back.
What Changed:
All-new 3-Series wagon is longer, wider and taller than the previous model. The only model available initially is the 325xi with the 215hp 3.0L inline six and all-wheel-drive. Both a 6-speed automatic and 6-speed manual transmissions are offered.
