2003 is a bit of a rebuilding year for Ford. Most of their newer products are still a couple of years off.

On the heels of last years new Explorer, the biggest new model is the Expedition. Ford's large SUV has been significantly reworked and now includes an independent rear suspension.

Mustang may stand alone in its segment, but a number of variations from Ford are keeping it company. The SVT Cobra has been majorly updated for 2003 and boasts 390hp. A limited edition Mach I also provides 300hp and the traditional shaker hood. Ford has added the Pony appearance package to the base V6 models.

Ford adds a 5-door version of the successful SVT Focus.

The pretty-to-look at Thunderbird gets a much needed extra 28hp to back up it's appearances.

Two of Fords mainstays: the F150 and the Taurus receive a host of NVH and

package improvements.
