Restyled for 2011, the new Audi A8 has grown in length and width. The new styling is familiar but overall more stylish than the prior generation. On the inside, a new interior features a more interesting instrument panel and exaggerated center console. All A8s are powered by a 4.2l V8 that is more powerful than before.
Audi's halo sports car, the R8, is now available in a convertible form. This all-wheel-drive mid-engine sports car is powered by a 5.2l V10 engine rated at 525-bhp. Buyers can choose from either the traditional six-speed manual or the six-speed automated manual transmission with paddle shifters. Compared to the coupe, the R8 is almost identical in size, but gains about 100 lbs of curb weight.
All gasoline powered Q7 models switch to a new supercharged 3.0l V6 with direct fuel injection. The new engine is rated at 272-bhp in Premium and Premium Plus models and 333-bhp in the S line Prestige model. All engines are mated to an eight-speed automatic transmission.
