2012 Subaru Impreza sedan

2012 Subaru Impreza sedan

The Impreza is Subaru's compact line of cars. Available as either a sedan or 5-door wagon, the Impreza stands apart from other models in the segment with standard all-wheel-drive. Subaru is also unique in their use of horizontally-opposed engines. The 2.0l four-cylinder engine in the Impreza produces 148-bhp. When equipped with the CVT transmission, the Impreza is rated at an impressive 27 / 36 (city/highway) which exceeds the two-wheel-drive mileage of some competitive offerings. Compared to other compact cars like the Ford Focus, the Impreza offers more passenger and cargo room. With well-equipped models starting at around $20,000, the Impreza is an exceptional value.

What's New

The Impreza enters its fourth generation with all new models for 2012. Although the new models are basically the same size on the exterior, a longer wheelbase and restyled interior result in more passenger and cargo volume. A new 148-bhp, 2.0l boxer engine replaces the 2.5l unit in the previous generation. When paired with the new CVT transmission, the all-wheel-drive Impreza is expected to achieve fuel economy ratings of 27 city / 36 hwy.
