The new Astra replaces Saturn's unloved ION sedan in the lineup. Nearly identical to its Opel cousin, the Belgian-built Astra brings hatchback practicality in both 3-door and 5-door models. Saturn offers the Astra as an alternative to the VW Rabbit, Mazda3 and Honda Civic. With its 1.8L inline-4 and 5-speed manual transmission, the Astra promises excellent fuel economy for frugal drivers.
