- 2005 Mercury Mariner
- All-new model for Mercury. The Mariner is based on the Escape/Tribute. Like the Escape, it is available with a 2.3L 4-cylinder and 3.0L V6 engines in either FWD or 4WD with a 4-speed automatic.
- 2005 Mercury Montego
- New large-midsize sedan model to replace the Sable. Montego, is based on a platform derived from Volvo. Both FWD and AWD versions are offered. A continuously variable transmission is standard, with a 6-speed automatic an option. The Montego is produced in Chicago alongside the Ford Five Hundred and Freestyle.
