The Ford Mustang is instantly recognizable as an American icon. The introduction of the latest model coincides with the Mustang's 50th anniversary. Base Mustangs equip a new 3.7l V6 and a 2.3l turbocharged four-cylinder engine is available for the first time in many years. Both engines are more powerful than many of Mustang's historic V8 models. The performance oriented GT model equips an updated version of the legendary 5.0l V8 rated at 420-bhp. All three engines are mated to a six-speed manual or automatic transmission. With sleek styling and powerful, yet fuel-efficient engines, the Mustang is far from being a throwback pony car.

What Changed:

A new Mustang bows for 2015 coinciding with its 50th anniversary on April 17, 2014. The new model wears aggressive new styling with stronger lines. The new model is lower and wider, but rides on a wheelbase and track that are identical to the prior model. Three engines are offered: a 300+ bhp V6, a 300+ bhp turbocharged 4-cylinder and a 5.0l V6. The new model also switches to an independent rear suspension.
