Overview Information
The X3 is BMW's compact SAV (Sports Activity Vehicle as BMW calls it). The drivetrain utilizes the xDrive all-wheel drive system. Priced at around $39K, the X3 faces stiff competition from a number of European and Asian models with more competitive pricing.
What Changed:
The second generation X3 is longer and wider than its predecessor. Like other BMW models, the X3 will offer two inline six cylinder engines, rated at 240-bhp (xDrive28i) and 300-bhp (xDrive35i).
