Buicks were once a cut above the common car and the new LaCrosse aims to return Buick to the top of the class with fresh new styling outside and in. The mid-sized LaCrosse is a FWD entry-luxury model that offers a choice of four-cylinder and V6 engines and optional all-wheel-drive. The interior of the LaCrosse features wrap around styling with the lines of the instrument panel flowing in the center stack and the door panels. Ambient lighting accents increase the upscale appearance.

What Changed:

A thoroughly remodeled Buick LaCrosse appears for the 2010 model year. Highlights of the new styling include taller doors, a shorter greenhouse and strong lines around the wheel wells. The interior features strong lines that flow from the instrument panel to the door panels. Liberal use of ambient lighting adds a unique appeal to the styling. Although largely the same size, the new LaCrosse is slightly shorter and taller than its predecessor. The output of the base V6 jumps significantly. The new 3.0L V6 produces 255-bhp vs. 200-bhp in the old model. Although the V8 has been dropped, the optional 3.5L V6 is rated at 280-bhp which is just shy of the 300-bhp of the V8. The extra power is beneficial because the new LaCrosse is about 500 lbs heavier than before. A 2.4L four-cylinder engine will become the base engine late in 2010.
