Overview Information
The Accent is Hyundai's entry level model. The FWD Accent sedan is powered by a 110 hp 4-cylinder engine offered with either a 5-speed manual or 4-speed automatic transmission. When configured with an optional convenience package, the Accent includes alloy wheels, air conditioning, power windows, power locks, keyless entry and heated side mirrors for under $16,000.

Minor powertrain tweaks result in improved EPA mileage estimates. Cruise control is now offered.
Official Word:
Accent enters 2009 an improved weapon against soaring gas prices, with the popular automatic transmission model achieving a 35 MPG EPA highway rating. Smart engineering enhancements to the Accent's engine, transmission, tire pressure, powertrain management system and power steering pump improve fuel efficiency by up to eight percent.
