  Cadillac's CTS was its first serious attempt to match the German sports sedans that still dominate the marketplace. While a laudable first effort, the first CTS fell short in drivetrain and interior refinement. For 2008, this thoroughly revamped Cadillac is now a viable alternative to the German and the Japanese entries in this segment.
