The Mercury Sable Returns

Overview Information

The Sable is a large-midsized passenger car offering. While having a fairly modest size, the Montego features a 21 cu. ft. trunk and 107 cu. ft. of interior volume. Sable is powered by a 263hp 3.5-liter V6 and is offered in both FWD and AWD configurations. A six-speed automatic transmission is standard.

What Changed:

The large Montego was renamed Sable for the 2008 model year. More than just a name change, the Sable features a larger displacement engine with a horsepower boost of 60 hp. Still offered in FWD and AWD configurations, a six speed automatic transmission is standard across the line.
