Overview Information
The ultimate Mercedes-Benz GT, the SLR McLaren was inspired by the legendary 300SL Gullwing from the 1950's. McLaren was commissioned to develop the SLR as a rival to the best from Ferrari, Porsche, and Lamborghini. A claimed top speed of 208 mph puts the SLR McLaren is a very rarefied class. The AMG developed 5.4L supercharged V-8 cranks out 617-bhp/575 lb.-ft. and is coupled to a 5-speed automatic. Not surprisingly, the SLR McLaren is comprehensively equipped, with no options.
