Collectors revere classic Jaguar cars, but modern Jaguars have lost much of their desirability in a market jam-packed with luxury alternatives.

The big news for Jaguar is the new XF midsize sedan. The XF sedan marks a clean break with the traditional Jaguar styling cues found on its predecessor, the S-type. Jaguar offers a 300-bhp, 4.2L V8 model and a supercharged model rated at 420-bhp. Pricing for the XF sedan starts at $50,000.

As Jaguar transitions to the new XF model, it is discontinuing the S-type midsize sedan, X-type compact sedan, and X-type wagon in 2008.
