Overview Information
A compact car returns to the Pontiac lineup with the new G5 coupe which is closely based on the Chevrolet Cobalt coupe. The base model G5 features a 148 hp, 2.2L 4-cylinder driving the front wheels. GT models feature the 173 hp 2.4L engine. Anyone looking for more performance will need to go their Chevy dealer and opt for the Cobalt SS Supercharged. Both models feature a standard 5-speed manual and optional 4-speed automatic transmission.

All-new compact car for Pontiac is closely based on the Chevrolet Cobalt. Two trim levels each offer a unique engine. The base model features a 2.2L 4-cylinder. The GT model features a 2.4L engine.
