A new sport wagon for a crowded utility lineup
Overview Information
The Edge is a new sport wagon similar in execution to the Nissan Murano and Mazda CX-7. Based on the mid-sized Ford Fusion, the 5-passenger Edge roughly slots between the Escape and Explorer in Ford's lineup. Edge is offered in two trim levels: SE and SEL, with either FWD or AWD. All Edge models are equipped with a 3.5L V6 rated at 265 hp. A six-speed automatic is standard. With sharp styling and a bright color palette, the Edge is likely to steal most of its buyers from the smaller and more conservatively styled Escape.
