Overview Information
The restyled 2002 Altima is larger and features new 2.5L inline-4 (175-bhp/181 lb.-ft.) and 3.5L V-6 (240-bhp/246 lb.-ft.) engines. Xenon HID headlights are optional. A sport suspension (3.5 SE) offers 17" wheel/tire combinations. Nissan claims 0-60 mph in 6.3 sec. for the V6/5-speed powertrain (3.5 SE). The 2002 Altima went on sale September 2001.
