- Another variant of the Mini Cooper arrives for the 2012 model year. The Cooper Coupe is a 2 passenger model with a unique rear profile and high-mounted rear hatch. Trim level and powertrain options mirror those of other cooper models. The Cooper Coupe is powered by 1.6l, 121-bhp four cylinder engine. Cooper Coupe S are turbocharged and rated at 181-bhp. The top-performing JCW model is rated at 208-bhp. All models are front-wheel-drive and are available with either a six-speed manual or automatic transmission (JCW is manual only).
