The 2011 Mazda2 is a new (to the US market) small car that competes in the global B-Segment. With four doors and a small hatch, the Mazda2 is some 20 inches shorter overall when compared to the Mazda3. Power is provided by a 1.5l four-cylinder engine. The Mazda2 is mechanically related to the Ford Fiesta.
The 2011 model sees a number of changes to interior trim pieces and material finishes. Exterior changes include new headlights, foglights, side mirrors and wheels. Interior changes include new seat cloth, new armrests, and a new steering wheel. The manual transmission is now only offered on the base S model.
