The 2000 Sentra is Nissan's attempt to regain a larger chunk of the compact sedan market. Completely redesigned, and significantly larger than its predecessor, the new Sentra resembles a smaller Maxima. NDI, Nissan's US design studio, intentionally added upscale cues to make the Sentra a more desirable car, and not just inexpensive transportation.
