A 5-speed automatic with Speedshift technology (for 35% faster shifts) is the only transmission. AMG 17-inch alloy wheels are shod with 225/45ZR17 and 245/40ZR17 tires (F/R). AMG adds subtle external modifications such as foglights, trunk spoiler, and twin exhausts. Interior enhancements include leather sport seats, dark maple wood trim, and silver AMG instruments. The Kompressor SLK32 shows up in the US in fall 2001.
