The G-series helped power Infiniti sales. A sporty standout among rear-wheel-drive luxury sedans, the G was due to be replaced in 2014 by the more expensive Q50. By streamlining the lineup and options, Infiniti continued to sell the G37 sedan (renamed Q40) through the 2015 model year. The sedan is powered by a 3.7L V6 producing almost 330-bhp. A 7-speed automatic is standard on both rear-wheel-drive and all-wheel-drive variants. Aluminum suspension components and a stiff chassis enhance handling.

After being replaced by the Q50 sedan, the prior generation G37 lives on as the Q40.
