The bold Ram is redesigned for 2002. The new truck doesn't stray far from its roots. Exterior styling is marginally different. The real changes are underneath the skin: an all-new independent front suspension, and 3.7L V-6 and 4.7L V-8 OHC engines. The 5.9L Magnum V-8 remains in the lineup. Standard and Quad Cab versions of the Ram 1500 were exhibited at Chicago. Heavy-duty 2500 and 3500 series trucks will be available during the 2003 model year.
