The XC60 is Volvo's entry in the small SUV/crossover market. The XC60 is roughly the same length as the S60 sedan but exceeds the legroom and cargo carrying capacity of that model. Under the hood, the XC60 equips either a 3.2l inline six-cylinder engine (240-bhp) or a turbocharged 3.0l inline six (300-bhp). The R-Design model bumps the horse power of the 3.0l to 325-bhp. Both front-wheel-drive and all-wheel-drive models are offered with the 3.2l engine; all-wheel-drive is standard on all XC60 T6 models. Fuel economy is respectable with the higher-performance T6 models rated at 17/23 (city/highway). With leather equipped models priced from the mid-thirties, the XC60 is a good value in the premium segment.
