A choice of 3.6L or 3.8L flat-6 engines provides more power and torque than ever before. Although the Carrera S has the 3.8L motor, it is significantly more expensive than the base Carrera. A vast array of pricey options allows customers to personalize their 911.

A special edition 911 dubbed the Black Edition is offered for 2012. This limited production vehicle adds a number of standard features for less cost. Production is limited to 1,911 units worldwide.
