With its ample size and moderate price, the Impala sits in a sweet spot within the sedan market. Reworked in 2006, the Impala features smooth, inoffensive styling and value. LS, LT, and LTZ trim levels are offered. The LS and LT models feature a 3.5L V6. The LTZ model features a 3.9L V6. All three feature a four-speed automatic and front-wheel drive.

The V8-powered SS model has been dropped. The Impala logo has been removed from the c-pillar.
