The latest Tundra is fair warning to GM and Ford that Toyota means to grab a chunk of the full-size pickup market. Toyota offers a choice of a 4.6L V-8 or a 5.7L V-8 with 381-bhp and 401 lb.-ft. torque. Both engines are coupled to a 6-speed automatic. Standard 18-inch steel or alloy wheels can be replaced with optional 20-inch alloy wheels. Towing capacity is 10,400 lbs (2WD) or 10,100 lbs. (4WD). CrewMax models are available only with a 66.7" short bed.

The 2010 Tundra wears a revised grille and new tail lamps. A new 4.6L V8 paired with a six-speed automatic replaces the 4.7L V8. A new Platinum package is offered on the Tundra CrewMax Limited. A new work truck series is added to appeal to commercial truck buyers.
