The Scion xD is a small five-door hatchback that serves as the entry-level model for the Scion brand. The xD is about twelve inches shorter than the larger xB model and lacks some of the surprising roominess of its sibling. With a smaller 1.8L four-cylinder engine, the xD excels in fuel economy with EPA ratings of 27/33 (manual transmission) versus 22/28 for the larger xB. Anti-lock brakes are standard, but traction control and stability control are optional on xD models.
