Volkswagen's SUV entry is a luxury vehicle with fairly serious off-road potential. Power is supplied by either a 220hp V6 or 312hp V8. Full time four-wheel drive and a six speed automatic are standard. The Touareg is attractive and quiet SUV that starts around $35K, but with options can quickly land in the mid-$50k range.
