The Ford Fusion is a mid-sized sedan that fits between the Focus compact sedan and the Taurus large sedan. The Fusion is distinguished by distinctive exterior styling. Ford offers Fusion in in three trim levels. Both four-cylinder and V6 engines are available. Four-cylinder models can be equipped with either a 5-speed manual or automatic transmission. The V6 model features a six-speed automatic as standard equipment. The range has expanded to include an AWD model. After a short run, an updated Fusion will be offered for the 2010 model year. A Hybrid powertrain has been promised.
