2009 Mitsubishi Galant Sport

2009 Mitsubishi Galant

The Galant is almost invisible in the midsize sedan segment, partly due to its somewhat ungainly styling. For 2009, the Galant gets a more attractive front and rear fascias for a more sporty appearance. Engine choices remain as before: a 160-bhp 2.4L I-4 or a 230-bhp 3.8L V-6. The 4-cylinder is mated to a 4-speed automatic, while the V-6 gets a 5-speed automatic. For the Galant Ralliart, the V-6 is tuned for 258-bhp and Mitsubishi claims a 0-60 MPH time of about 6 seconds. Other features exclusive to the Ralliart are 18-inch alloy wheels with 235/45R18 tires, unique exterior trim, aluminum pedals, and DVD navigation system. Options available on other models include a 360-watt Rockford audio system, heated leather seats, 17-inch alloy wheels, and power sunroof. Although the base Galant models are reasonably priced, the Ralliart is expensive compared to its Japanese or American competition.
