2008 Suzuki XL7 Limited

2008 Suzuki XL7

Suzuki's first-generation XL7 was simply too small and underpowered for the US market. The second generation features a larger body and a 250-bhp 3.6L V-6, built under license from GM. The V-6 is available with a 5-speed automatic in FWD or on-demand AWD configurations. With an all-independent suspension, the new GM Theta platform-based XL7 rides better than the previous generation vehicle, which had a solid axle and body-on-frame structure. Seven passenger XL7 models get self-leveling shock absorbers to handle heavy loads. Towing capacity is a relatively minimal 3,500 lbs., so the XL7 is best suited for light-duty hauling. Safety features include ESP (Electronic Stability Program), which incorporates rollover sensing capability, and front and side-curtain airbags.
