Since it is based on the Toyota Land Cruiser platform, the full-size LX 570 has the pedigree for serious off-road travel. The addition of extra luxury features makes the 8-passenger LX 570 more palatable for upscale customers. A 5.7L V-8 mated to a 6-speed automatic is the only powertrain. Full-time 4WD is standard.

Like its counterpart the Toyota Land Cruiser, the premium LX570 SUV is all-new for 2008. Although the wheelbase is the same, the new LX570 is longer and taller than the model it replaces. The big change us under the hood where a 5.7L V8 has replaced last year's 4.7L V8 boosting horsepower by over 100 hp to 383 hp.
