2010 Kia Soul

2010 Kia Soul

The 2010 Kia Soul is a production version of the eye-catching concept car from 2006. The Soul is Kia's version of a boxy mini-wagon popularized by Scion. Like its Japanese competitors, the Nissan Cube and Honda Fit, the Soul offers ample interior room and fuel efficiency at an attractive price. Kia sells the Soul in four trim levels ranging in price from $13,300 to $17,900. Aside from the base Soul, powered by a 1.6L inline-4, all other models receive a larger 2.0L engine mated to a 5-speed manual or 4-speed automatic transmission. Intending the Soul to be a style leader, each version of the Soul features distinctive trim and color schemes including brightly colored and patterned interiors. Kia will be offering numerous limited editions of the Soul such as the Denim edition launched in mid-2009.

What's New

The new Soul is a compact front-wheel-drive four-door hatchback that effectively replaces the long-runing Spectra5 in Kia's lineup. The Soul debuts with a variety of trim levels including the + (plus), ! (exclaim) and sport. While, the base model has a 1.6L four cylinder under the hood, all other Soul models equip a larger 2.0L four-cylinder instead.
