The Malibu Maxx is a roomy midsize sedan from Chevrolet that offers great value, combined with extra hatchback cargo utility. A wheelbase stretch of 6 inches increases interior room, although the overall length is 1.3 inches shorter. Malibu Maxx SS models are equipped with 3.9L V-6, 18-inch alloy wheels, and unique interior and exterior trim. Standard Malibus Maxx models have a 3.5L V-6 and 4-speed automatic. The LTZ premium model offers additional luxury features. ABS and traction control are available on all models. Side-impact and head curtain airbags are available on all models.

A new 3.5L V6 with variable valve timing replaces last year's 3.5L.
