An icon since 1970, the Z is the epitome of outstanding price/performance. For around $35k, the Z Roadster offers a 306hp 3.5L V6, 6-speed manual, fully independent suspension, rear-wheel drive and eye-catching styling that does not detract from the performance image. Higher trim levels add more performance-oriented goodies like a limited-slip differential and Brembo brakes. Some cushier features are offered like a leather interior, automatic transmission and DVD-based navigation system.

Next generation version of the 3.5L V6 yields 306 hp and 268 lb-ft or torque. New new ram air dual intake, equal length exhaust manifold and dual exhaust system. New engine has a higher compression ratio (10.6:1 versus 10.3:1) and a higher redline. Other changes include a revised strut tower design, new aluminum hood and three new colors.
