The Freestar is the ideal vehicle for large families that need to haul everyone and their luggage. A cargo van version is also available for light-duty industrial use. The base 3.9L V-6 can be upgraded to 4.2L V-6 on SEL and Limited models. A 4-speed automatic is the only transmission. Power sliding doors are available on the Freestar Limited. A DVD entertainment system is optional. Safety features include standard ABS and optional Safety Canopy® side-curtain airbags, self-sealing tires, and AdvanceTrac® vehicle stability control.
