Assuming that some buyers will be trying to avoid or downsize from SUVs, the Pacifica aims to play to the strengths of several vehicles while striking out in a new direction. Basically a large wagon the Pacifica features a roofline that is a little taller than a traditional wagon, but shorter than either a minivan or SUV. Offered in FWD and AWD versions, most models are powered by a 255 hp 4.0L V6. On the inside, the Pacifica is offered in 2 and 3 row seating versions offering up to 6 six seating positions. Like most SUVs and other sport wagons, the 3rd row of seats is more or less in the cargo area forcing a tradeoff between cargo and passenger capacity. Even though FWD base models start under $30k, all-wheel-drive and the Limited trim level can quickly push the sticker price to near $40k.
What's New
New 255hp 4.0L V6 and six-speed automatic for all models except the base FWD model. Minor exterior updates include changes to the hood, fenders, headlamps, grille and front fascia.
