The Lancer is a perfectly competent compact sedan, with excellent interior room and a standard 120-bhp 2.0L engine. Base models are good values as practical economy sedans. The Lancer has some shiny interior plastics, but build quality is certainly acceptable. Buyers looking for more sporty looks will gravitate towards the Lancer O-Z® Rally Edition, although it offers the same engine as the base Lancer. For extra power to match its racy styling, the Lancer Ralliart with its 162-bhp 2.4L inline-4, is a reasonable deal.
