The handsome LS has been overshadowed in the fiercely competitive luxury sedan market. Although the LS has been updated since its introduction, the styling has remained largely unchanged. The sole model is the LS V-8 Sport, with a 280-bhp 3.9L engine, mated to a 5-speed automatic. Lincoln offers the LS as one of the lowest priced V-8 powered luxury sedans. A comprehensive standard feature set can be enhanced with the Elite and Premium option packages that add stability control, THX® CD audio system, and heated/cooled front seats.

The V6 model has been dropped. The LS is available for 2006 in the V8 Sport model only.
