At its core, the Scion xA is a roomy economy car with many accessories for owners to personalize their vehicle. The 103-bhp from the 1.5L I-4 is best harnessed to the standard 5-speed manual, although an available 4-speed automatic offers slightly better EPA highway fuel economy. To protect its occupants in a collision, the xA is available with front side airbags, and side curtain airbags. Apple® iPod owners will be pleased to know that the 160-watt Pioneer® CD audio system can control their mp3 player. Other audio options include a Bazooka subwoofer and XM or Sirius satellite radio. The xA gets an updated front end with a new bumper, upper and lower grilles. A new steering wheel and seat fabric freshen the interior.
