The 2005 Acura RL was shown in prototype form at the 2004 NY Auto Show with a host of innovations destined for the production vehicle. The prototype featured a 300hp 3.5L V6 and a 5-speed automatic transmission. The SH-AWD (TM) system can vary torque from front to rear, but also can direct all torque on the rear axle to the outside wheel.
