Cadillac updates the full-size Deville to its current angular styling idiom. It also drops the Deville name and calls it the DTS. The DTS retains the FWD platform, 4.6L V-8, and 4-speed automatic from the Deville. Optional 18" alloy wheels house larger brakes for improved braking power. Other safety enhancements include dual-depth airbags that sense front passenger size and seatbelt usage, and deploy accordingly.

The DeVille has been restyled and updated to the current Cadillac styling and naming conventions. Visual changes include new front and rear styling and an updated interior. The powertrain is unchanged, retaining the Northstar V8 in both 275 hp and optional 291 hp version. Front wheel drive and a 4-speed automatic remain.
