The TL is all-new for 2004. The new model stays the same in size and weight but features an increase in horsepower and technology. The only engine is a 270hp, 3.2-liter V6 offered with a six-speed manual or five-speed automatic. On the inside, the TL features a wide range of gizmos including standard DVD audio with 5.1 surround sound. The only thing that might bug the performance driver is that it's FWD.

The 270hp V6-powered TL is based on the capable US Market Accord. The TL is available with a bit more content including a Dolby 5.1 surround sound system.
