The XF is a new sedan from Jaguar aimed at the middle of the luxury car market. The clean styling is a strong break from traditional Jaguar styling cues. This should appeal to those consumers who found recent Jaguar designs to be a bit stodgy. Derived from the S-type, the XF is roughly the same size as the BMW 5-Series, and Mercedes-Benz E-Class, two of its competitors. The interior of the Jaguar is just as new with a modern instrument panel with less wood and more aluminum. Jaguar offers a choice of models with V8 power ranging from the 300-bhp entry-level model to the range topping 510-bhp XFR performance sedan. All are equipped with six-speed automatic transmissions and rear-wheel-drive.

What Changed:

The XF series gains a XFR performance model matching the designation used on other Jaguar models. The XFR features an all-new 5.0L 510-bhp supercharged V8. A third XF model (XF Premium) features a normally aspirated version of the same engine rated at 385-bhp, while the XF Supercharged version is rated at 470-bhp.
