The Terrain is a new small crossover sport utility vehicle closely related to the Chevrolet Equinox and the Cadillac SRX. GMC offers the Terrain in a variety of trim levels starting from about $25,000. A 2.4L four-cylinder engine and six-speed automatic transmission is standard on all models. An upgraded 3.0L V6 engine is optional on all but the base model. Every model offers a choice of FWD or AWD. The V6 engine offers significantly more power at the expense of fuel economy.
