What Changed

The Silverado 1500 series trucks see a number of powertrain revisions for 2010. Most 1500 models are powered by either 4.8L V8 or 5.3L V8. Both engines can run on ethanol and feature variable valve timing and cylinder deactivation. The 6.0L V8 has been dropped. The 6.2L V8 is now offered with an extreme towing package. The short box is no longer available with the extended cab.
