First Drive: 2006 BMW M5

The BMW M5 has almost legendary status as the benchmark German sport sedan. With its 5.0L V-10 and 7-speed SMG transmission, this car is an autobahn burner in the truest sense. But with a base price over $81K, the M5 is not exactly an affordable option for most Americans. Then again, where else can you get a 500-bhp 4-door sedan for the same money?
