Toyota has taken off the gloves with the latest Tundra. Aimed at the heart of the full-size pickup market, the Tundra is as big as any of its competitors from Ford, GM, or Nissan. Even the optional new V-8 has been upsized to 5.7L, although the 4.7L V-8 and 4.0L V-6 are still available. A new 6-speed automatic will equip the 5.7L Tundra. Properly equipped, it can tow up to 10,000 lbs. Disc brakes at all four wheels (with front 4-piston calipers) are finally standard. New comfort and convenience features include a JBL audio system with Bluetooth, tailgate-mounted rearview camera, and an easy-open tailgate. The Tundra is available in 3 different cab models. Trim levels include Base, SR5, and Limited. Toyota claims that eventually the Tundra will be offered in 30 different models.

What Changed:

All-new Tundra has the size and power to match its reputation as a solid truck. A new 5.7L V8 provides the power to tow up to 10,000 lbs. The full-range of Tundras will offer 3 powertrains options, 3 cab configurations, 2WD and 4WD models bringing the number of model configurations to 30.
